Overview of the Remote Sensing Observations from PSP Solar Encounter 10 with Perihelion at 13.3 R ?

چکیده

The closest perihelion pass of Parker Solar Probe (PSP), so far, occurred between 16 and 26 November 2021 reached ~13.29 Rsun from Sun center. This resulted in very unique observations the solar corona by Wide-field Instrument for PRobe (WISPR). WISPR observed at least ten CMEs, some which were close that structures appear distorted. All CMEs appeared to have a magnetic flux rope (MFR) structure most oriented such view was along axis orientation, revealing complex interiors. Two had small MFR develop interior, with bright circular boundary surrounding dark interior. Trailing larger substantial outflows blobs flux-rope like within striated ribbons, lasting many hours. When heliophysics plasma sheet (HPS) inclined, as it during days around on 21, 2021, outflow over wide latitude range. One CME overtaken faster one, resultant compression rear leading an unusual expansion trailing CME. Thomson Surface creates brightness variations they through field view. In addition this dynamic activity, band excess dust orbit asteroid/comet 3200 Phaethon is also seen several days.

Remote sensing applications: An overview

Remote Sensing (RS) refers to the science of identification of earth surface features and estimation of their geo-biophysical properties using electromagnetic radiation as a medium of interaction. Spectral, spatial, temporal and polarization signatures are major characteristics of the sensor/target, which facilitate target discrimination. Earth surface data as seen by the sensors in different w...

Intermittent release of transients in the slow solar wind: 1. Remote sensing observations

[1] The Heliospheric Imager (HI) instruments on board the STEREO spacecraft are used to analyze the solar wind during August and September 2007. We show how HI can be used to image the streamer belt and, in particular, the variability of the slow solar wind which originates inside and in the vicinity of the streamer belt. Intermittent mass flows are observed in HI difference images, streaming o...

An overview of GNSS remote sensing

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are always available, globally, and the signal structures are well known, except for those dedicated to military use. They also have some distinctive characteristics, including the use of L-band frequencies, which are particularly suited for remote sensing purposes. The idea of using GNSS signals for remote sensing the atmosphere, oceans or ...
